When people say “rent a mariachi band,” they mean the same thing as hire or book — they want live mariachi musicians for their event, professionally handled, without the hassle of tracking down individual musicians and hoping it works out. That’s exactly what we do.
What Renting a Mariachi Band Actually Involves
You’re contracting professional musicians for a set period of time at your event. A standard booking is typically 2 hours, though we do 1-hour and 3-hour sets depending on the event. The band arrives in full traditional charro attire, performs their repertoire (with requests), and provides the live entertainment your event needs.
There’s no equipment rental, no stage required, no separate sound system needed for most events under 200 guests. The musicians are self-contained. They arrive, they set up in about 15 minutes, and they perform. Clean and simple.
Pricing: What to Expect
Mariachi pricing varies by city, band size, and duration. Here’s a realistic range for a standard 2-hour booking:
- Trio (3 musicians) — $350–$600 in most markets
- Quartet (4 musicians) — $500–$800
- Sextet (6 musicians) — $700–$1,200
- Full Mariachi (7-8 musicians) — $900–$1,600
Major cities (NYC, LA, SF, Miami) run toward the upper end of these ranges. Texas and Florida markets tend to be more moderate. Holidays and peak dates (Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, summer Saturdays) carry a premium.
We give you a specific quote based on your event — not a vague range. When you contact us, give us your city, date, venue, and headcount and we’ll come back with a real number.
How Far Ahead Should You Book
For most events: 4-8 weeks minimum for decent selection. For peak dates (Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day weekend, summer Saturdays in May-October), 3-6 months is safer. For quinceañeras and weddings where you have a non-negotiable date, book as soon as your date and venue are locked in. Availability goes fast for good bands.
What If I Don’t Know What I Need
That’s fine. Tell us about your event — the occasion, the venue, the guest count, the vibe — and we’ll recommend the right band size and format. We’ve done this for thousands of events. We know what works.
